After our photographers initial fascination with the start line personel wore off we were able to persuade him to concentrate on the rest of the meeting. The attached photos show just a small sample of the colour and excitement that is top fuel drag racing. The photos can't convey the physical impact the cars [and crew] have on your body when they launch into a 4.5 second 500kmph 1/4 mile run.

Being able to access the Jim Read pit area while they rebuilt the motors between runs was an added bonus.
